… because for some reason I seem to have run out of words. Odd.
I am so GLAD that I get to live in a place surrounded by beauty to soften the blow of winter coming.
(wouldn’t this make a lovely homecoming?)
The other day I was cooking something that I couldn’t turn off long enough to join the Adam in his run to the mailbox to meet daddy. Liam was devastated and in a rare moment for me, I left all the safety issues behind and let the boys go out together while I watched from the doorway. It was so, so cute. They’ve done it several times now and Adam always takes such good care of Liam.
The boys and I have been delighting in these last warm days. It’s so much fun to do things outside with them now that they both love it and Liam doesn’t end up spending all his minutes falling over, stepping on plants, or eating compost.
(I can hardly wait til this will actually work!)
Sunday mornings at our house. David is song leader at church so while he chooses songs, Liam hums along and directs with his “songbook.”
I am more in love with the new road we found to walk then ever. It is perfect for us.
Is there anything else that so easily makes a child happy as a balloon, a lollipop, or bubbles?

Thanks for the smiles your pics brought to my face. Beautiful.. =)
Love the last pic of Liam. He looks so happy.
I enjoyed looking at your “everyday life” pictures 🙂 Liam looks like he’s in another world with those bubbles…I want to join him 🙂 You mentioned that he used to eat compost…that couldn’t have caused/started the problem with the screaming/medical issue could it?
This was such a sweet post! Your pictures are awesome and so are your little boys! And someday they will play together, for hours!
Beautiful post Michelle! I want some of those pics for Bulletin boards!! I love your style!
fun picture post!
happy weekend to you!
Oh, goody, a picture post from Michelle! What a way to go to bed!
The ones of the boys walking to the mailbox together, holding hands, put a lump in my throat. Seems like just moments ago that I was letting Kendric go out to play w/ Wade for the first time, reminding & re-reminding Wade to WATCH, keeping a sharp lookout from my sink window, and panicking if they disappeared from sight. We have cornfields, acres of woodland, swamp, and an interstate rest area all within close proximity here, so a mother’s mind imagines limitless possibilities for danger! And I’d almost forgotten how sweet it was to watch them “play” ball together when Kendric could hardly throw farther than his own toes… Thank you so much for the flood of sweet memories!
I was looking for a way to PM you but couldn’t find it. Too tired, I guess.
I just had a little brainstorm… uh-oh.
We are heading to VA in the near future to visit my brother & family. Any chance whatsoever that I could [finally] meet you? Or (half-joking) that you’d want to take my baby’s belated one-year pics and/or family pics?
Grrr. I knew I should’ve been more serious about slimming down this summer……!
Liam looks like you in the middle bubble picture.
@redladybug18 –
I doubt it. He wasn’t ever unsupervised and we always stopped him before it got further then his lips. And most times it was dirt, not true compost.
@lwstutz –
Thanks! They do love to play together but I will be glad when the age gap seems to narrow.
@Becuz_of_Jesus –
Thanks! I’ll be happy to email you some if you’re serious. PM me your email address.

Oh, I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to meet you!! Are you serious? And pictures? Of course I’d love to do them if you want them. Definitely let me know if you are serious about this and I will plug in the date to reserve it. (oh, and the message me link is in the little profile box along the left side 😉 )
Those first pictures are so beautiful. Zachary wants to go to your house “RIGHT NOW!”
Beautiful pictures. Makes me miss the gorgeous VA scenery. I love the pics of the road and also of Liam and the bubbles. Pure delight!
Wow, beautiful pictures! I know from experience that it is really nice when your boys can finally actually play together. For me it happened around 2 1/2 years or so. (When the younger one was that age) I love walking…Jeremy doesn’t so much, which is a bummer! I need a girlfriend to walk with.
Great post! Love the pics! The last one of Liam is priceless.
what an idyllic lifestyle (:
You defiantly have a gift with the camera!!
Love all the photos! For some dumb unknown reason I don’t have your other photo website bookmarked. I love seeing your works!!
