Last night on the way into town Adam and I were conversing about a number of subjects.
A: “Mommy, why do cigarettes turn your kidneys black?”
Me: “You mean lungs?”
A: “Yeah, why do they? …..Where is the nicotine inside? ….How do they put the smoke in there? …I’m glad you never smoked, mommy.”
(How often are we going to have to have this cigarette conversation?????)
And then we were discussing the nursing home we were driving towards and why the people live there and how it’s kind of us to go sing and what would happen and what would be good behavior for him while we are singing.
A: “Then who’s going to share the message?” (Is someone apparently listening at church? Can’t you just hear it…We’re glad to have Brother Ivan share the message today…)
Me: “No one. We just have devotions not a message.”
A: “Oh. Pa Beachy had a good message today. He just has an amazing voice for preaching.”

#1. You guys really should send him to medical school. #2. That makes my head hurt!
This post had me laughing out loud!
That is too funny. Our son Corban is 5 and talks till my brain hurts too. They are so much fun though and little sponges!
Oh aw, he must have you in stitches!
Adam really does have an amazing vocabulary!!! It is so much fun to hear little kids using big grown up words.
That is to funny! The stuff he comes up with reminds me so much of a little girl I used to babysit. I forget exactly how old she was at the time, I’m guessing around 4 or 5, anyways she was trying to figure out how Joseph was Jesus earthly dad and God was his heavenly dad. She was like, “so if God was his heavenly daddy and Joseph was his earthly daddy, did God and Mary get a divorce?” Isn’t crazy how smart their little brains are?!
your son cracks me up.
He is so right! He has an amazing preacher grandpa 🙂
Such fun memories!! He sounds like a very intelligent little person.
I just love hearing all the intelligent stuff he comes up w/! That would really keep life interesting. =)
How cute! He is such an impressive little guy. Thanks for giving us a peek into your lives like this. We don’t get to see you nearly enough!! And Liam is SO adorable! And I agree on the comment of Pa Beachy’s voice! (I’m not prejudiced or anything!)
Children, gotta love them, amazing minds 🙂
