Seeing pinker days ahead. No, that’s not referring to the gender of the baby. It’s talking about the color of my days. When I saw Emily in church today I told her if I were Dr. Seuss I’d tell her my day is the color of her dress…olive green. However, there is cause to celebrate and kill the fatted calf and whatever else we can think of. I had 36 hrs of feeling like ME! (Never mind that I threw up halfway through that time period. At least I had energy and didn’t feel sick most of the time.) I literally danced around the kitchen to the Christmas music. Adam stared at me aghast. I guess it has been a long time. “What are you doing, Mommy?” he asked in a shocked, sort of quiet little voice. “Are you leading songs?”
No, sweetie. Mommy is dancing. And then we had the first giggle fest we’ve had in a long time. And happy as a lark I picked up my previously all too heavy camera and headed outside to take pictures of Adam.
It was the oddest sensation, feeling well. I didn’t realize how dark and how bad it had been until I walked up the steps and caught a glimpse of Adam’s room. “Oh, that’s such a nice yellow,” I thought to myself and then realized it was the house I live in that I was talking about. Although, existed would be a better word then live. Exist and survival. Trying desperately to simply make it to the end of the day and hope tomorrow is better and then in the morning waking up and wondering how in the world I’d get to the end of it. But now, it’s getting better. Treadmill and grocery store beware. Except it will still probably be two weeks before I can tackle either one. But it’s coming. Ahh, I like pink better then green.
Since I’m not finished editing Adam’s pictures, I’ll post some of Darius and Ro.

I love the ones of them sitting on the wall. Once again I’m amazed at your genius with a camera.
So glad you had at least 36 hours of pink instead of olive green.
I’m SO happy for you that you’re feeling better! And I’m so glad you think of days as colors. 🙂 I do too, but when I tell people that they look at me strangely. A very dark orange-red is the worst kind of day possible.
Beautiful pictures! And like Ginny said, I love the ones of them on the wall. Like really.
I do love to look at your pictures. You have a talent with the camera, woman. Keep pursuing it!!
Oh, and it’s so wonderful to hear that you had a pink day. I like pink days very much. I do not like olive green days, and although it has been quite a long time since I have even had an olive green day, I remember olive green days all too well. The memory of that color of a day never does quite completely fade away. But pink is such a good color. I’m glad you had a pink time. 🙂
God bless your week, my friend. With more pink moments than any other.
Aw, I’m glad you’re feeling better, Michelle!! I suppose your family is way glad too! I would love to see those pictures of Adam once you’re done editing them. You have such a camera talent, I wish you could come over and do our Christmas family pictures… It’s been ages since we’ve had them properly done. Blessings to you all!
Congratulations on the pink day! Yes, beautiful pictures. And beautiful wall too!
Beautiful pics girl, you go!! So glad to hear you are having pink days. Hope they stay pink Have a good day. Gina
It’s wonderful to hear you saying your feeling better! Keep on dancing 🙂
Those are such good pictures of Darius and Ro!
YAH!!!!! So glad you are feeling pink! That is so much better then green…. makes me shutter to think of it!
It’s so good to hear that you’re feeling better!
Yay for dancing! It’s good for the soul!
Oh great!! Three cheers for more pink days!!
I never thought of days in color but in lighting, as in a dark cloud hanging over, or bright sunshine, or somewhere in between. Those sick pg days fit into the murky hazy catagory and I still see them that way when I look back.
As far as the house, it’s coming, just wish faster!!!!! Mark is finishing his job today in Draft and then tomorrrow he will be dedicated to the house until we are in!!! YES! We are starting with the trim tomorrow. The cabinets are going to slow us down. Poor John, I think he is about desparing with us. 64 drawers including the pull outs, that is also including the bathroom ones. Sounds like alot. I’m not having the family there at Christmas and that was really hard for me to give up cause I was really looking forward to it. Unless things go really well it might still be a possibility. But I’m not banking on it. The painting is done and that is a good feeling. Must run along and get things ready for my tupperware party tonight. Are you coming? See ya, Gina
I’m so happy for you!!
I am so glad you had a better 36 hours!! Hopefully that was stretched out still longer! Yes, I know the fun of “coloring” days! Except my best days are soft yellow or lavendar!!
That table is beautiful, some people just have it so together!! Nice.
Those pics are SO nice!! Did you think about Darius looks more like Vince than ever? We really noticed that. I don’t know which one I liked best. The kids were coming up with all kinds of funny comments about the poses.
I wish you were closer to take family pics for us this Christmas…
Take care. Love to you all!
I was just sitting here reading comments from people about wishing you could take their pics and I’m SO GLAD that you can take ours! Darius & Ro’s pics are GORGEOUS!
good pictures!! And I’m so glad you’re feeling better!
Beautiful pictures and so glad you’re feeling better! Hope it stays! And i have never thought of days as colors…Mine are usually sunny or cloudy. 🙂
So I’m really going to show how “new” I am but what is the difference between our 2 cameras?
Well, my mom was glad to see us! She gave my brothers a hard time for not doing all the school-work she assigned them… Am I ever glad I’m done with that (for the time being, anyway). You-all doing ok?
Just to let you know you’re tagged.
Lovely pics, lovely couple! In reference to your comment…I think I have lots angels.(: I have been so blessed with a baby that I actually have to wake at night to feed. It has been great being able to get my sleep and is the one thing that’s keeping me sane.(:
What’s up with everyone and that door?! I myself don’t find it that great.. Well, I certainly hope you can come!!
