Thank you guys for your kind comments on my grouchiness.  I feel much better after a night of sleep.  In fact I felt better yesterday afternoon after a shot of caffeine.  And I had the distinct feeling of being prayed for so HUGE thanks to you whoever you were.  I forget sometimes how great a gift we give to others when we intercede for them.  My friend Charlene was a missionary in Ireland and when my birthday rolled around one year she offered to pray for me every day that month.  I could email her specific requests if I wanted to.  I remember it as being one of the most emotionally “held-up” months of my life.

And get this.  We had reorganization of our church offices last night.

Now there will be “NO DESSERTS EVER unless puppies never dig holes under this fence again” * mommy is never late to church again after December 1rst.

David Lee just got voted in as song leader.

I am afraid some little body is going to have to be out of his car seat getting breakfast on the way to church in the near future.

Have fun trying to get to church on time. 🙂 I know and understand the struggle. Lavon is an usher and everytime we have church it seems we are always racing with the clock. Then get there and feel like you did a whole days work — not fun at all. I am thankful that my two oldest can at least dress themselves but still its a struggle. Guess I need to be a bit more organized and start at a good hour on getting my crew together.

I’m glad things turned out for you and you ended up having a btter day.

Oh, the challenge of all the unexpected each Sunday morning. I watched this short video recently of a family preparing for church, then the changed expressions the moment the arrived at church. It really spoke to me..and how God see’s it. So many of us struggle with this, but I keep thinking “well once the boys are older it will be easier”….

My husband is songleader right now, too, so we ALWAYS have to be on time. While we had improved on promptness from earlier years , it’s kind of hard knowing that we don’t have the luxury of occasionally sneaking in a few minutes late. 🙁 Oh well, it’s good for us, I suppose!! I have to get up early in the morning to get us all to church in time, and no matter when I get up, we never have more than a minute or so to spare!

Yeah well, all the Sundays that I teach Sunday School or have to get the lesson things ready & stuff, I always seem to race with the clock! Back home we started getting up earlier & earlier, but we seriously had issues with getting ourselves out the door on time!! Anyhow. Take care.

@Byersbunch – Please don’t apologize.  I have been horrified at our late to church problem for quite awhile.  I think maybe this is God’s way of helping me make getting there a priority.  And believe me when I say that I would 1,000 times rather have this job then this past years job of David Lee teaching women’s SS and studying every Sat eve and getting up at 4 Sunday morning again.  At least this way we can have company for Sunday lunch again a little more easily.  Plus, just having him more available Sunday morning will make getting church SO MUCH EASIER.

I used to (and still sometimes do) get grumpy at some of the huge responsibilities that get thrown at us.  I mean, sometimes I would like the turn some other people get at not having any responsibility for a year or at the least a very light one b/c we have always gotten pretty loaded in my opinion.  But David Lee is slowly teaching me to adjust my attitude and realize that it is a compliment (and not a punishment) from other people who feel you are qualified to fill the position.  And yeah, I know, he is a great song leader.  I love the way he leads us to worship, not just sing.

Good luck with getting to church on time! Now that time changed & I have that extra hour on Sundays mornings, its not quite as stressful around here.

I know I’m late, but the puppies are so cute!! I’d love to have one for Zachary for Christmas if we had room for it. We had lots of bad experiences with our last puppy, so no puppies for us!
