Sad
(still cannot believe the petunias looked like this yesterday)
that summer ended
that color filled days are being exchanged for drab, cold ones
Happy
that November gifted us with a few days of gorgeous nearly 70 degree weather
watching the boys absolutely delight in pulling out flowers and turn it into imaginative play as Adam payed Liam toll on his way to the “dump”
May winter be kind to us and brief in its stay.

“may winter be kind to us and brief in its stay.”
amen. amen. AND AMEN!!!
We are havin 70 degree temps too, it’s such beautiful weather!
Amen, amen, amen again. I’m consoling myself that it is only about 6 weeks before the days start getting longer again!
I saw a brick walk way!!
…makes me think of some hard workers I read about some time back. π
This silly girl inside of me is ready for winter and the long evenings that go with it.
maybe because it gives me an excuse to sit back and prop up my feet a little earlier at the end of the day!
Love the wheelbarrow of flowers being wheeled away as if to bid adieu to the warm weather. I welcomed fall and find such awe in each changing season. I love the snow and what it brings and the time spent inside snuggled in with family. Sledding and snowman and hot chocolate and ice-skating…
Maybe you should fly south for the winter. ; ) We can go to the mountains for snow and then come back home and not have to deal with it.
I actually am excited for winter….however, by the end of March, I will be feeling anxious for warmer weather.
And be thankful you live where the winters are shorter! We are lovin’ the temps here the last few days! I-yi! Delightful!
We are having weather over 90 degrees! However, I always enjoyed winters in the north, and miss them. I always have to cry when I hear about the first snowfall in the north, because snow here in Georgia just doesn’t happen. I guess it’s learning the whole contentment thing, right? On both ends of the spectrum!
happy…you posted
happy…to see your little men working hard
happy…for cold weather, scarves, hot drinks and Christmas
(till mid january. then i get real done.)
happy…it’s almost Thursday
(which means it’s almost Friday and then yay! The Weekend!)
<3
Oh I am so with you… love this weather right now but despair with what’s coming!!
I know that we are both “winter haters” but think about this…you live in VA and I live in Northern Wisconsin. So however much you hate…multiply by two for me!
@appalolly –
yeah, but right now I’m jealous of Clarita. π It’s way greener down there (literally in winter).
@lifeisadance –
You mean contentment doesn’t happen automatically in the South where it stays warm??? π
@JsSteph7 –
Sounds like my dream life.
@totallycherished –
You know, I keep realizing I never did post the next segment of the brick story.
