Fall is finally here.  The drought may keep the leaves from putting on the best in history show; but at least they are changing enough to give us splendid colors.  The temperatures are a little cooler and by next week it looks like we’ll be digging out sweaters and jackets in earnest.  And best of all, we’re finally getting some sprinkles of rain.  I hope those “heavy rains” turn out to be more then a prediction.

Yesterday I took some pictures of Chadwick.  He and Adam had so much fun and laughter in the leaves afterward.  It almost made me wish to be three again.  Or at the least 29 and not feeling half-rotten.

cute cute…. is Chadwick by any chance a Jantzi? I think he looks like my sis in laws future nephew :). Those leaves look so much fun, but I have to think of all the many hours we will spend in the near future blowing ours all away! At least I am blessed with the equipment to do the work and not have to rake them. Hope you start feeling better soon.

hello, just browsing around this morning, and came across your site.  You have some great pics!  I enjoy “playing” with photography too, and it’s always fun to see others style and ideas~

ryc: I so enjoyed reading you comment!  Isn’t it fun to make new friends through xanga.  Your comment about possibly being in bondage, and if there’s something that could be done to help more often than we realize or think about, I had to wonder about the case with my daughter and her bed time fears, if I had not intervened on her behalf, just what would she have faced in the future, or would she have gotten to the point in her spiritual growing to later have dealt with it herself, or would it have just gone away?  Dealing with the spirit world can be hard to know sometimes or explain, I guess that’s when we have to trust God and pray for wisdom.

As far as the camera flash goes, I have the digital Canon Rebel xt, and I had been eyeing the speedlites that are compatible with canon for times when I need a little more flash than what’s built in the camera, but they were a little more expensive than I wanted to pay.  Then I ran across some off brand one’s that don’t have the canon name, but work with them, supposedly the same as the speedlites, but cheaper.  It’s a Bower brand.  It works with your manual settings and compensates for how close the subject is, etc.  I was just a little dissapointed after I first got it and used it at a miss hospitality pageant that it seemed to under-expose a little, and I didn’t know how to make it a little brighter, because there are no settings to adjust on the flash.  I got out my camera manual and learned how to make it brighter going through the camera settings, and it’ll also work with the little flash that’s on the camera.  I was happy to figure that out!  I also really like this new flash for bouncing it off the ceiling.  If you look on my next to last post, where they are eating the “castle towers”, I had pointed it up, and was pleased with the soft look it gave.  Okay, I didn’t mean to write a book here….=)  As you can see, I can get carried away with other camera people….=)
