Charming Peyton
This little man-child entered the world with the most striking blue eyes, an itty bitty bit of blonde fuzz, and the darlingest dimple in his cheek you ever did see!
He also came with a few opinions about when to be born and whether or not photo shoots were meant for sleeping. 🙂 His brother and two sisters are smitten with him as are his Mama and Daddy. There’s just nothing quite so delightful as a new baby!
Isn’t he a cutie?
Sleep on, little man. But when you wake, there’s a whole new world just waiting to be discovered!
Sweet baby Caroline
This darling baby girl is so loved on by her Mommy and Daddy and two big brothers!
Her little room is every bit as cute as she is with glittery gold dots painted on off-white walls, minty curtains and accessories and a gorgeous, overstuffed pink arm chair!
There just are no words for this much cuteness.
so.very.precious.
And then there is that moment when you lay bebe girl on a darling pink and gold blanket her Mommy made for her and she smiles in her sleep! I think she likes it.
Look at that hair!
Caroline was the perfect mix of sleep and wakefulness … an eight day old bundle of perfection.
I know. You are just perfect.
Baby dear, you are the most delightful gift ever.
Leighton & Amber
It isn’t any bride’s dream to wake the morning of her wedding to the sound of rain pummeling the roof. But a little {or a lot} of rain wasn’t going to stop these two from turning a September Saturday into their fairytale!
After weighing the options and checking the radar … choose a rain location or wait for it to stop and only have a few minutes in the gorgeous location they’d chosen weeks ago … Amber and Leighton decided to wait. Amazingly, the rain stopped! At least for a little!
Precious few minutes and dark grey skies, but their smiles lit the morning with so much joy!
It sprinkled a little by the time we were taking bridal party pictures and we were barely all tucked into vehicles before the rain started pouring out of the sky!
Their ceremony was lovely with both father’s taking part speaking and officiating their marriage vows.
Thankfully, the rain stopped again and the skies lightened a bit! The reception was held in a huge white tent in a grassy pasture behind the church.
People meandered down the path, grabbed a darling little bag of pretzels, and chatted with friends.
Amber spent a lot of time creating fun details from the hand -painted signs along the path, to the little pretzel bags, to the hair bows and bow ties for the nieces, nephews, and her little brothers.
Leighton & Amber also built the gorgeous walnut farmhouse table they used at the reception. Seriously, how talented are they?!!!!
The reception was a relaxed affair with pork barbecue, pasta salad, potato chips, and pecan, raspberry, and strawberry pie.
And they’re off!
Congratulations, you two!
Demetrius & Alexander
Because big brothers should have a turn in the spotlight when their baby sister gets to hang out in front of the camera! I’ve had the fabulous privilege of taking pictures of these boys since they were born. It has been so much fun to see their personalities emerge. From newborn sleepiness to toddlers who lived life at high speed to grown up little boys who make ME smile … little boys are so much fun!
Meet Demetrius.
Seven years of handsome!
Passion, energy, and a big imagination … Metri has big dreams spinning in his head.
And his brother Alexander.
Oh baby blues, you could charm anyone with that smile.
Could he possibly be any cuter? Oh yes, he can. Wait until you ask him a question and he throws this very smile at you and says, “sure” in the most grown up little voice. You would swoon, too. Oh yes, you would. Or take him out for ice cream.
Cutie pie!
Little Miss Adalyn
You’re here, baby girl, and even better than our dreams!
So tiny. So perfect.
So very, very loved!
It is an amazing thing, this thing called Motherhood. The way it just takes you in and molds you into someone with so much love! And no matter how many generations of women have rocked their babies through the ages, becoming a mother still feels like a brand new miracle every time.
Those precious tiny cries and the mystery of learning your language.
So “sleep child of mine, while the stars shine above — I love you as much as a mother can love.” [from the book, “I Love You As Much”]
Little angel girl.
You have made us a family.
Marvin & Martina
Marvin and Martina first met at a Settler’s tournament. When Martina’s friend sent her a text inviting her to come, Martina sent a text back saying, “Who else will be there?” Her friend answered with a list of names, the last two of which were Marvin Charles. Martina never noticed the missing comma and quickly replied, “Who are Marvin and Charles?”
The rest, they say, is history.
Meet the now Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Charles!
Martina’s home is surrounded by lovely peach and apple orchards, the perfect backdrop for their wedding photos. The day was filled with golden sunlight … one of those, “What is so rare as a day in June” moments come to life.
The reception was filled was exquisite peonies and pink roses! I wanted to live there!
Marvin borrowed his grandfather’s ’59 Impala for their getaway car. So fun!
Wishing you many, many years of beautiful happiness!
